ELS/Ashland se encuentra en el campus parquizado de 70 hectáreas de la Southern Oregon University (SOU). Ashland se encuentra a tan sólo cinco horas de viaje al sur de Portland, Oregón, a seis horas al norte de San Francisco y a ocho horas al sur de Seattle. Esta ciudad disfruta de 265 días al año sin lluvia ni nieve, por lo que ofrece uno de los climas más templados de los Estados Unidos.

Ashland, Oregon is a picture-perfect city with 265 days a year without rain or snow, making it one of the most temperate climates in the USA. The city’s wide selection of coffee shops, restaurants, specialty stores, malls, theatres, museums, bookstores and music venues make Ashland an ideal American college town.

Annual Community film festivals, parades and celebrations include Fourth of July, Halloween, Easter and Christmas.

The Britt Music Festival in nearby Jacksonville, Oregon offers outdoor dance, music and theatre.

During International Week, SOU and ELS international students present their native cuisine, music, dance and film in a week-long celebration.

Accommodations: Residence halls at SOU are safe, comfortable, friendly shared spaces with a roommate. Every hall is supervised by a Hall Resident. A packet of linen is included in the price.

Minimum Age: 17
Meals: Students receive $130 per 4-wk session in cafeteria credit to spend in the cafeteria.

Accommodations: Explore American life with a friendly and caring host family, their friends and neighbors. Homestay accommodations offer private room lodging and 14 weekly meals. A continental breakfast and a prepared dinner are provided daily. To guarantee a homestay for your first session of attendance, advance reservations are required.
Check-in Time: Students should arrive between 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. at their homestay.
Check-out Time: 1:00 p.m. (Saturday)
