ELS/St. Petersburg está ubicado en el hermoso campus del Eckerd College a orillas del mar, a sólo 20 minutos en bicicleta del famoso Golfo de México. St. Petersburg, situada en la tropical costa oeste de la Florida, es renombrada por sus playas, su clima templado y sus atracciones educacionales y culturales.

Gulf of Mexico Beaches
St. Petersburg is well known for the sunny beaches along its Gulf of Mexico coast. The Gulf's warm, calm waters make it ideal for swimming, windsurfing and parasailing. Coastal activities include sightseeing excursions, cruises, scuba diving, fishing, and boat-based casino gambling.
Salvador Dali Museum
St. Petersburg is proud to host the Dalí Museum, permanent home to the world's most comprehensive collection of this great Spanish painter's art. The Dalí museum is one of the most highly recommended attractions in Florida.
Disney Theme Parks
The Disney parks in Orlando are world famous. Disney's Magic Kingdom®, land of adventures and fantasy, Epcot®, the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, Disney-MGM Studios, a movie and television theme park, and the new Disney's Animal Kingdom®, with a real-life safari and live shows. No trip to Florida is complete without them.
Universal Studios Florida®, Orlando
Universal Studios is the largest working studio outside of Hollywood. Watch out for crashing helicopters, high-speed boat chases and unexpected explosions. With exciting theme rides, live entertainment, dining, and shopping, Universal Studios is a must-see destination.
Sea World®, Orlando
Sea World of Florida is best known as the home of Shamu® and the Shamu family of performing killer whales. Dedicated to the mysteries of the sea, every element of the theme park combines entertainment with hands on attractions, education, research and conservation.

Accommodations: Students live in single-occupancy (subject to availability) and double-occupancy hotel-style rooms. Each room has a private bath, cable television access, Internet access and telephone. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms. Quiet hours are strictly enforced. Married students may live together in the Eckerd College campus housing (30 day advance notice required) when both husband and wife are attending classes.
Check-in Time: Reception is open from 10 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. on arrival Sunday. Later check-ins can be arranged.
Check-out Time: 9 a.m. (Saturday)
Dormitory Security: Each room has its own key, and there is a security checkpoint at the campus entrance.
Telephone Service: Telephones are provided in dorm rooms. Local and incoming calls are free; students need a calling card for long-distance service.
Resident Assistant: An Eckerd College staff person resides on each floor of the East Lodge.
Laundry Facilities: Self-service laundry machines are available in the East Lodge for a small fee.
Minimum Age: 16 - Chaperoned groups may have younger students and 16-year olds can be accepted with Center Director’s approval.
Meals: 19 per week.

Accommodations: Homestay accommodations offer private room lodging with an American host. A continental breakfast and a prepared dinner are provided daily. To guarantee a homestay for your first session of attendance, advance reservations are recommended.
Check-in Time: Students should arrive at their host family between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. the Sunday before their session begins.
Check-out Time: 9:00 a.m. on the Saturday at the end of the session.
Transportation: Host families that are outside walking or biking distance to the center will drive ELS students to the campus in the morning and pick them up after class and activities.
Travel Time: Most families are located within 15 to 20-minute drive from the ELS center. A number are within walking or biking distance.
Minimum Age: 14
Meals: 14 per week.
